Tear film analysis
  • Topography:

    The DNEye® Scanner offers measurement of the corneal topography. The shape of the cornea including higher order components is incorporated into the lens optimisation.

  • Eye image:

    The DNEye® Scanner 3 provides detailed colour images of the eye: Assess eyelid and conjunctive health. Check for corneal, conjunctiva and lid abnormalities. Evaluate blepharitis, conjunctival and limbal redness and meibomian gland dysfunction. Manual grading supported by Efron scale.

  • Tonometry:

    Intraocular pressure can be measured using non-contact air puff applanation tonometry. The corneal thickness is taken into account to provide a more precise and meaningful result.

  • Touch screen:

    With a special swivel function, the touch screen screen can be moved to either side of the scanner, providing more flexible operating positions. 1920x1080.

  • Aberrometry:

    In contrast to other available aberrometers, the DNEye® Scanner determines the full objective refraction including axis and cylinder not only when looking into the distance, but also at near. For both distances the lower and higher order aberrations of the eye are measured as well as the individual pupil sizes for mesopic, photopic and near conditions. These data are incorporated into the lens optimisation

  • Scheimpflug:

    The integrated Scheimpflug camera allows a detailed analysis of the anterior chamber of the eye. Parameters such as corneal thickness, irido angles and anterior chamber depth can be measured. Anterior chamber depth is incorporated into the lens optimisation. The DNEye® Scanner 3 provides not only a single section but areal data.

  • Tear film analysis:

    The tear film analysis function enables testing for dry eye. Local breakup time of the tear film can be measured between two blinks (maximum 15 sec.). Video playback provides visualization of tear surface breakup. The tear meniscus can be manually measured in an eye image to give an indication whether the dry eye is due to a lack of tears or the quality of the lipid layer which prevents evaporation.

  • Opacity:

    Retro-illumination is used to create an image for assessing the overall transparency of the eye.

  • Remote view via CNXT®:

    When using award winning CNXT® (ODMA 2023 Awards for Excellence), the measurement results can be displayed on external devices, e.g., tablets. While discussing the measurement results of a patient, a new patient can already be measured.

  • Create reports:

    Reports can be generated, exported, emailed and printed directly from the DNEye® Scanner 3. Contents of documentation can be defined as required.

  • Fundus Image:

    Help patients understand if they are at increased risk of developing certain eye disease. Benefit from using eye care technology developed for ophthalmologists to provide insights to your customers about their eyes. The included fundus image function of the DNEye® Scanner 3 enables a holistic overview of the eye by adding the posterior segment to the measurement via an automatic non-mydriatic retinal camera.
